Ehh... I dunno how many people here wanna hear the gory details... I can send a mail if you really wanna know... just say I haven't had solid food in about 2 weeks, and have a cut down my stomach from a couple of inches above my belly button to below my waist line... had 32 staples, till they took out half today. Wife thinks I'm nuts, because I've been going around saying, "I gots staples in me belly button!" |

Ah, cool. I took lots of art classes back in school, and have friends in the art industry. One's a fairly famous artist, another owns a sign shop, and she does paintings as well on the side. Before I do so, I want to get at least one corp standing up high enough for a jump clone... still working on that.
And, I need to find a steady in game income... I've unlocked some level 3's, but my skills aren't where they need to be to fly a BC effectively yet... I can fly one, but don't want to jump into it too soon. I need to be able to support buying the ships I'm gonna loose... hehe
I'm also working to be able to fit T2 modules as well... not fully there yet either.

Nope, I don't mine... that was on an older toon that I ended up biomassing. He didn't have a lot of skills, and I preferred this one aesthetically. I've just been mission running. Thinking about trying out hauling, playing the market a bit... buy low, sell high. Perhaps on a hauler alt.
As for time zone, I'm EST (GMT-5), but I play odd hours. Right now, I could be on at just about any time, I'm recovering from surgery. When I go back to work, I work nights... 10pm till 8:30am, 4 nights a week... Wednesday night - Saturday night. So, my play times would be off peak my time, probably during the mornings. I'm not quite sure how that converts to your TZ... maths, I'll have to figure that out later...

Creamed Chipped Beef
1 jar dried beef, sliced into thin ribbons
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
4 cups whole milk
Pepper to taste
Melt butter in a heavy pan over medium heat. Add flour to the pan and whisk for several minutes to remove the raw flour taste. Slowly pour in milk and whisk continuously until a thick sauce forms. Add pepper to taste and stir in the dried beef. Serve over generously buttered toast.

Yup, I know, the iskies will come in time. I've got plenty of patience. That's why I'm still running level 2's instead of the 3's I have unlocked, because I know my skills won't let me fly my drake properly... yeah I did already buy it, just keeping it docked till I can fly it right...
I'm planning on trying out some pvp soon, I got a cheap little kessie that I want to play with. But, I also want to get a jump clone first, so I don't loose my implants that I'm using for training. So, that's my current plan, grinding with Spacelane Patrol.

When I was stationed in Orlando going to Nuke School, we considered putting saddles on the palmetto bugs, and riding them to class. Friggin HUGE cockroaches, about 2 inches long.

Good for ya, Zimmy! My wife quit about 6 or 7 months ago, using those e-cigs. Helped her out a lot. I quit a little over 6 years ago when my son asked me to quit... but did it cold turkey. People found it amazing that I did it without killing anyone, especially with my wife still smoking. I guess I've got a bit of willpower. Also, I think the wife and I would've killed each other if we had tried to quit at the same time.
In the end, I think the deciding factor is, you just have to want to quit. You've got that part beat already!

One of the best ways to pick out the type of ship on sonar is to listen and count the blades of the screw... whales generally don't come equipped with propellers. Granted I went in during the 90's, not the 80's, I would say that they could have done the same. Some of the tech on my first boat was from the 60's.
Whales, however, make the same mistakes. A couple of times while out to sea, we would have whales mistake us for another whale, and swim along side us. Then they would bump into us, realize that we weren't a whale, and swim off.
On another note, the sub pictured is the USS Seawolf... I wasn't attached to the boat, but was in the shipyard (commissioning another boat) when it was being built and commissioned. Quite an impressive boat. Went so fast during sea trials that it started ripping the sound dampening tiles off the hull.

Whew, FINALLY caught up on Likes... this thread moved quickly the last day or so! Gray, the airship idea sounds awesome! If you need someone that's used to being stuck in a boat for months at a time, working on a steam plant (a submarine reactor plant is still just a steam plant... heh)... I've got lots of experience!
